Midja

This is a painting about how we used to live when I was a young girl.  The dwellings are called Midja.  We would catch turtles, eel, and fish and cook them on the open fire.  Our camps were generally near the water and we would move from site to site as the seasons changed. We would leave the frames of the midja so that we could use them when we camped there next time. unstreach
