Yabun (Big Midja)
Midja is our name for a shelter. These were generally made with a particular kind of sapling laced together and covered with leaves or bark to shelter people from the sun, wind and rain. Yabun is our name for a big Midja. Midja were often built on sandbanks beside the river or in a clearing and there was always a fire close by. We followed the food by the seasons and when it was time to move on we would leave the midja to use next time and move to another place where we had camped before.
